50/50portraits, #2

This Sunday after church I went out to lunch with a couple of great friends, Mike and Shauna, then we walked around town a bit and took photos. After a somewhat uncomfortable encounter with a homeless man, we left that area and went to shoot in the mansion that Shauna happens to work at, which was awesome.

I’m choosing to use this photo as #2 in the 50/50portraits series, as one of the goals of this outing was to get some shots for the project. I’ll share more later, but if you want to see the whole shoot we did, you can do so in the photos section of my site.

Joel Timothy

I'm Joel, a storyteller from a rural town in northern Illinois, now based in Northwest Arkansas. I grew up spending a lot of time out of doors, and much of my indoor time with my nose in a book, two things that combined to create a passion for beautiful things and inspiring stories. I love capturing the real moments of life, in a way that reminds us that beauty isn't reserved for the extraordinary, but a part of everyday existence. In my writing and in my photography I seek to portray life as it truly is: totally miraculous, and wonderfully beautiful.
