I'm Joel, a storyteller from a rural town in northern Illinois, now based in Northwest Arkansas. I grew up spending a lot of time out of doors, and much of my indoor time with my nose in a book, two things that combined to create a passion for beautiful things and inspiring stories. I love capturing the real moments of life, in a way that reminds us that beauty isn't reserved for the extraordinary, but a part of everyday existence. In my writing and in my photography I seek to portray life as it truly is: totally miraculous, and wonderfully beautiful.
