henry sleeps soundly

A few days ago I watched a video of two men comparing and reviewing a couple different black and white films, and it inspired me to switch my Fuji back into JPEG mode and turn the Acros filter on for a while. Shooting monochrome is just . . . different than colour. One element of photography is removed entirely, another moved into greater prominence. It is my personal opinion that some things are simply better when shot in black and white.

All of these are JPEGs straight out of camera using the Acros film simulation, with a weak grain applied, at ISO 3200. No adjustments have been done after the fact. I was using the Fuji 35mm F2.

I hope you enjoy these images of my little nephew sleeping on his grandmother.
