inside jokes

Last week, myself and two friends (Joey and Trent) drove east to Maine, to experience the sights, sounds, and flavours of the coastal state. And to get lost on logging roads, pay lots of seemingly unnecessary tolls, and get scared out of camp sites by unknown wild animals. If you’ve been following me on Instagram you’ll have seen some photos from the trip already, but I’m going to post a bunch of my favourites here now. We were gone for seven days, so I’m not going to go into detail much on all that happened. We had a good time, and a much needed bit of peace and spiritual revival. As a rule I don’t regret anything in life, and this trip least of all.

with love,

— Joel

P.S. I’m experiencing some unexpected problems with the Jeep, so I am having to push my departure date back, likely only a week at most. I shall be on the road westward soon.

P.P.S. We did not find any river girls.

Joel Timothy

I'm Joel, a storyteller from a rural town in northern Illinois, now based in Northwest Arkansas. I grew up spending a lot of time out of doors, and much of my indoor time with my nose in a book, two things that combined to create a passion for beautiful things and inspiring stories. I love capturing the real moments of life, in a way that reminds us that beauty isn't reserved for the extraordinary, but a part of everyday existence. In my writing and in my photography I seek to portray life as it truly is: totally miraculous, and wonderfully beautiful.
